WORKING OF CPU & UNITS
CPU: Central Processing Unit
WHAT IS CPU or PROCCER ?
The CPU unit or processor is the nerve center of a computer
system. It is not only performs the central control function but all the computational made here. It can contain a circuitry of performing the various
computational activities of CPU. It communicated or interface with
the input and output units of computer.
CPU is the main brain of the computer that accepts data, performs operations on the data and sends out the result. Information from an input device or from the computer’s memory is communicated via the bus to the Central Processing Unit (CPU), which is the part of the computer that translates commands and runs programs.
The CPU Is considered as the brain or heart of the computer because in CPU all operation are run.
- ALU (ARITHMATIC LOGIC UNITS)
- CU (CONTROL UNIT)
- Input unit
- Output unit
CONTRIL UNIT:(CU)
In this unit all the activities of CPU is controlled.CU coordinates the input and output devices of a computer.
CU uses the instructions in the Instruction Register (IR) to decide which circuit needs to be activated. It also instructs the ALU to perform the arithmetic or logic operations.
CU also holds the CPU’s Instruction Set, which is a list of all operations that the CPU can perform.
INPUT UNITS:(IU)
Input device are actually device with provides man to machine
communication with computer. They are used to transfer data and instructions to
the computer. Input uniform of data is converted in to binary electronic
signals which be understood by CPU.
OUTPUT UNIT:(OU)
Computer understanding process the data output in binary form convert these
result in to a human readable proving a printers.
